Hi All,

As the title says this is farewell. I thought I would have enough time to devote to the Utopia, and while I could do it there are a lot of discussions and details that I don't support and a lot of problems on the backside of Obsidian Fleet that have taken it out of me and beaten down my creativity low enough that I don't have the creativity to carry on.

I am sorry I know I told some of you that I intended on the Utopia carrying on for a good while and thriving a month or so ago and that truly was my intent at the time. I hadn't started school, the accusations against the TFCO's hadn't occurred, and things were going good. But between school, work, and the fleet I know that isn't going to happen. Plus money is a tad tight and I don't have the funds to continue hosting this site. Speaking of which I will be finalizing that on Saturday so please make sure if there is anything you want you grab it.

Again I am sorry but the enjoyment of this game has been beaten out of me and I don't like doing something that just brings me frustration whenever I see an email from the CO list or from any of the Triad.

I hope to see you down the road somewhere, when things die down and time has been freed up I just might return as a CO, if you have any questions shoot them off and I'll do what I can to answer them. Remember the sky's the limit.

Cam Formerly Dirk Alphonse.

Ok I believe I'm caught up and continuity in place for the current JP's and my bio and what not.
Again we won't change anything other than referring to me as Captain.

» New XO!

Posted on Thu Nov 6th, 2014 @ 1:51am by Lieutenant Commander Lanessa Srin in General News

Hello, everyone! My name is Niv, and I'll be playing your new XO, Lt. Cdr Lanessa Srin. I don't want to go into a lot of detail about myself, since I'd rather spend time on that in roleplay, but I have been running and playing on SIMs for the better part of two decades, and I'm extremely excited to get to write with all of you, on the Utopia!

While we're busy with the Mission Briefing that the Admiral is leading, I'm also going to start setting up JPs with all of the department heads so I can get to know you just a little ICly. None of these are urgent, so don't feel too pressured to contribute right away, but it'd be great to try and get them done throughout the month of November.

I hope you're all as eager as I am! I look forward to writing with you all.

Lt. Commander Lanessa Srin
XO, USS Utopia

» A Few More Days

So my 'disappearance' has been due to work. We have an accreditation team coming into the school on Tuesday and I've spent a large chunk of my time there due to higher ups coming down on us to make sure the school looks pristine. Two more days and I should be back and get the JP started kicking off the mission.

I want to remind everyone, or inform you if you fall in that category, That this upcoming week is going to be very hectic for myself. I've volunteered for Salt Lake Comic Con again and found out I get the 7AM to 9-10pm shift Thursday-Saturday. Meaning I get to be up at 5 and probably wont hit home until 11ish at night. I know a few JP's are going I'll do my best to get them added and out by Thursday. But I can almost guarantee that I will be inaccessible Starting Thursday.
